Calling all Ushers, Greeters, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers
To better prepare all of these ministries to assist parishioners, Public Training Coordinator, Jason Weber of NWTC, will provide the following training at St. Agnes on two occasions.
Ushers: We need all ushers to attend one of the two dates.
Greeters, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers (those involved in any area at Masses) are invited and encouraged to attend one of the two dates.
Please mark your calendar to attend either:
Wednesday, October 9 or Thursday, October 24
4:30 to 6:00 pm in church
Mr. Weber will address these topics:
- Church access security
- Monitoring entrances
- Addressing people in distress
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Crisis management
All of these ministers can help ensure a safe worship service for all.
Many organizations benefit from your generous bakery contributions and purchases. Bakery may be taken to the narthex (gathering space) after 3:30PM on Sat., Oct. 26 or on Sunday morning. Any of your favorite recipes are very welcome, and labels do help the buyers decide what to buy.
Questions - call Pat @ 499-8804 or Bonnie @ 858-1878.
From September 25 through November 3, you're invited to join other Christians for 40 Days for Life - 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion. You're also invited to stand and peacefully pray during a 40-day vigil in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood, 2605 S. Oneida in Ashwaubenon. If you'd like to volunteer, a sign-up sheet is located in the narthex. The 40 days for Life campaign this fall will take place in 505 cities worldwide.
"The battle over abortion is not a war between the pro-abortionists and us. It is a war between the pro-abortionists and the unborn. We're merely the soldiers who volunteered to fight for the defenseless." (Life Dynamics)
SOSS - SHARING OF SUNDAY SCRIPTURES, IS A GROUP LISTENING TO AND PONDERING THE READINGS FOR EACH UPCOMING SUNDAY.
ALL ARE WELCOME AT 2:30 P.M. IN THE ST. GABRIEL ROOM AT CHURCH TO ENRICH YOUR SUNDAY EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION.
Are you interested in remembering a loved one or celebrating a birthday or anniversary?
Please consider sponsoring the bouquet of flowers at the altar.
Call the Parish Office to reserve the date.
An offering of $50.00 is requested.
Additional ushers are needed as we aim to increase by 2-3 times the number of ushers we currently have.
This would mean the same people don’t always have to be on and we would not be short if ushers cannot be here.
We are also moving towards having five ushers per Mass with one being a monitor in the narthex (gathering space.)
If you can offer your help in this area please contact Fr. Patrick when at Mass or call the parish office.
Money Counters Needed
We are looking for a few people willing to assist with the counting of the weekly collections. The counting is done on Monday morning from 6:45AM to approximately 9:00AM. Experience with handling money is preferred. If you are interested in helping with this important parish ministry, please contact the Parish Office for more details.
