from the hope center food pantry--

are you in NEED of food from the pantry...

maybe for the first time ever?

The Hope Center Pantry (formerly St. Patrick's Food Pantry)

is located at

505 Clinton St, one block east of Ashland Ave.

Open 1:00-3:00 Monday-Thursday.

The only requirements are to show an ID and live on the West side of Green Bay.

(Its not necessary to show any income verification at St Pat's.)

The Pantry is taking extra measures to ensure the safety of volunteers and our neighbors in need.  Neighbors phone 437-3356 between 1:00-3:00 Monday-Thursday to register and discuss their family needs with a volunteer.  The order is put together and wheeled out the door on a cart for curbside pickup.  The neighbor shows their ID, takes their box and/or bag of items off the cart, and away they go.

The Pantry is easy to use, the volunteers are friendly, safety is first.  We encourage anyone who is in a rough spot, even temporarily, to please take advantage of the Pantry and let us serve you.

how to pray the tv mass from home

Create a prayer altar under your TV or streaming device. Consider setting a crucifix or other sacred art in the prayer space.

Open your bible to the gospel of the day and place it on your “home altar” to remind you that the Word of God is among you.

Light a candle to symbolize the beautiful light that shines in the darkness and to help your home resemble the Church.

Set up chairs like a pew to help you engage in the Mass and keep you from passively watching from the couch.

Get dressed as you normally would when attending Mass.  Keeping this routine is especially helpful for children.

If you have holy water at home, bless yourself and your family before you begin Mass.

Take a few moments of silence to transition from the busyness of your home to the sacredness of the Mass.

Fully participate by standing, kneeling, sitting, and responding according to the rubrics of the Mass.

Engage in community by having coffee and breakfast with your family after Mass or by calling your loved ones to connect.

Spiritual Communion Prayer

My Jesus, I believe that you

are present in the

Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You

into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually

into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were

already there and unite myself

wholly to You.

Never permit me to be

separated from You.

Amen.

a simple prayer of St. Teresa of Avila

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.

breathing prayers

Each prayer has words to pray as you breathe in and as you exhale out.

Repeat until a sense of  peace and calm settles in.

                                    The Jesus Prayer

Breathe in: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,

Exhale out: have mercy on me, a sinner.

                                    Trust in Divine Mercy

                                                 Breathe in: Jesus,

Exhale out: I trust in You.
